In the third quarter of 2024, Brazil's top social apps on the Android platform exhibited diverse performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active user engagement. Data collected and analyzed by Sensor Tower provides a detailed view of these trends.

Threads saw a remarkable surge in weekly downloads, particularly in late August and early September. Downloads peaked at about 1.4M in the first week of September, following a steady increase from mid-August. The app's weekly active users mirrored this growth, rising from approximately 9M at the start of the quarter to over 17M by the end of September.

Instagram maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads fluctuating around 500K to 750K throughout the quarter. Revenue showed a stable pattern, with peaks reaching around $68K in late September. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 60M mark for the entire quarter.

TikTok experienced a gradual decrease in weekly downloads, starting from over 420K in early July and dropping to just over 300K by the end of September. Despite this, its weekly revenue remained robust, peaking at approximately $159K at the end of August. The active user base showed resilience, maintaining numbers around 51M to 52M throughout the period.

Instagram Lite demonstrated moderate fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at around 465K in early August. Active users showed modest growth, concluding the quarter with approximately 732K users.

TikTok Lite - Save Data exhibited a stable download trend, with numbers generally ranging from 240K to 290K. Its weekly revenue, though modest, peaked at around $2.1K in late September. Active users saw slight variations, ending the quarter with about 10.3M users.
